Customer Challenge Panel
During 2012, we set up a new Customer Challenge Panel (CCP) to ensure the views of our customers are taken into account as we plan for the future.
The CCP is made up of representatives of our regulators and interested parties, including local councils, the Environment Agency, Drinking Water Inspectorate, Consumer Council for Water(Wales), Federation of Small Businesses, Kelloggs and Sustainable Blacon
All water companies are required by our regulator, Ofwat, to set up a CCP as they develop their business plans for 2015-2020.
Dee Valley Water’s CCP will scrutinise our approach in engaging with customers and stakeholders and ensure that their views are properly represented in our plans. We are committed to engaging with our customers and will work closely with the CCP.
We appointed Diane McCrea, Chair of the Wales Committee for CCWater, as independent chair of the Panel. Diane also has experience in consumer research and representation.
We want our work with the CCP to be open and transparent and will publish the minutes of meetings and advice notes from the Panel. We will share our engagement work with the CCP to gather feedback and improve our planning.
The Panel will report to Ofwat on our engagement work and the way in which it is reflected in our final Business Plan when it is submitted in 2014.
